About the Event
In this class, we will discuss and analyze the History of Healthcare from the early 1800s up until today. We will discuss why allopathic medicine is the "standard" form of care in the Healthcare system, why it is designed to treat symptoms, how Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie funded the current healthcare industry and more. Students will be asked to do their own research regarding what they learn in class to come to their own conclusions. This historical perspective will allow teens to fully understand why the Healthcare Industry is the way it is, why we eat the way we do, and how their actions can influence the future of our Healthcare system.
